Kama'ili Paint Out

Well.. today was over the top wonderful.. one of those days that seems to have a rough start, but ends up being one of the best of your life... So it was for me today when my grandson Cassius accompanied me out for paint day. I had no idea how it would work out. He had brought along some things to do, but immediately decided he wanted to sit on my lap & "paint". I sat well away from everyone, pointing out that not everyone wants to chat with a five year old when painting en plein air. Well it wasn't as bad as it sounds, & my painting survived. I can touch it up a bit later, he'll never know. He was pretty free with his touch, & kept his strokes loose as I guided. He finally decided he needed hop off my lap & explore his magical surroundings. Under the large canopy of gorgeous old trees, alongside the gentle cliffs the ground was soft, and the sea was churning up some strong energy. The day offered an amazing array of wonderful occurrences, one could almost classify it as "fake", if it hadn't really happened. We were wooed by constant rainbows, softly passing showers, seriously swaying coconut trees, breaching whales, turtles, nesting sea birds, and a fascinating squadren of dolphins. They stayed for the entire day, spinning, and doing the most marvelous maneuvers...... as only dolphins can do. It was like a greeting card-- only real. So today's paint day started off with just a quiet little morning, but finished up as one of my best paint days ever.
